Greetings, fellow modelers, and aviation enthusiasts! We're thrilled to share a recap of our January meeting, where we celebrated the outstanding success of our BF109 Build Challenge. This event was a true testament to the passion and dedication of our club members and a hell of a kick of for the 2020!.
BF109 Build Challenge Highlights:
Massive Participation: We were absolutely blown away by the enthusiasm shown by our club members. Over 25 entries of the iconic World War II BF109 fighter graced our event. It's fantastic to see such a strong turnout. The challenge was opened to all regular members, the only conditions was that the model was made of plastic. The range spanned from various types and scales, from toon-style to realistic representations.
Voting and Prizes: All completed kits were subjected to a thorough round of voting by the attendees. The top three entries were rightfully recognized for their exceptional craftsmanship and awarded well-deserved prizes.
Commemorative Patches: But that's not all - we ensured that every participant, regardless of whether they claimed a top prize or not, received a unique patch to commemorate their involvement in the BF109 Build Challenge. This patch is a symbol of your dedication to the craft and your commitment to our club.
We conducted the meeting in the awe-inspiring dome of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. This provided a perfect backdrop for our celebration of aviation history and craftsmanship.
We are fortunate to have Kozak Serhiy capture the essence of this event through his photography. Please check out the wonderful images he captured, which are sure to evoke memories of this amazing day.
A Big Thank You:
Thanks to Kozak Serhiy for all the pictures of the event! Finally, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the members who participated in the BF109 Build Challenge. Your passion and commitment continue to drive our club forward, and we couldn't have achieved this level of success without each and every one of you.
Let's continue to celebrate our shared love for modeling, aviation history, and camaraderie in the IMPS Hamilton Club. Stay tuned for more exciting events and challenges in the future.
